You said that the Cape will continue to get heavy snow, do you still think that, even when we are tapering to flurries right now?

Also given the numerous 12"+ amounts across the outer Cape, I think it is accurate enough to say that 13.5" is a good measurement for Harwich, MA.

I don't think it will be as heavy as earlier...but I think it will be more than flurries. Probably like 1 to 3 mile type stuff.

It has 0.10"+ QPF bwtween 3-6z on the srn NH/ME border that doesn't seem like it will verify. The band has already cleared Strafford county.

NAM has no clue on this snow band but it may not be totally inaccurate that it ends up somewhere up in NE ma or just west of there.

Lighter snow here now.

That band is heading right to easton, raynham etc.

What the hell is driving it?

Could this go down as one of the worst busts for TV Met's in the publics eye in recent years?

I think one of the worst busts in the sense that forecasters never caught up. The initial forecasts were maybe 2-3 spot 5 near the canal. Then it went up some, up some, up some but not only that it spread much further than expected. It's snowing like mad where it wasn't supposed to.

I would say no, because it didn't really effect a large metro area like Boston, Worcester, or Hartford.. more people will be talking about the accidents rather than the bust on the cape

I think we peaked about 3-5 minutes ago...vis was down to about 500 feet. MAN, if you had told me this would be happening last night...

Depending on how this plays out tonight from a scoring standpoint this is one of the worst busts in recent memory. It's been VERY rare for them to bust low but even at 5pm there were still 3-6 type forecasts for down here. It's a pleasant surprise but I doubt any forecaster would say this was a job well done. This will be a great learning experience.

Traffic was horrendous down here, it took one of our neighbors 1 hour to go 4 exits.

a mid level frontogenetic zone that is advecting westward.

Thanks

Areas in easy commuting distance of Boston are getting 6+. Heck...Boston may pull out 3-4.
