You're getting blitzed. I was just curious to know what you were doing to get your storm total amount. Like if you're just measuring the snow depth or if you're adding up the totals that you clear off (and the frequency of clearing). Either way it sounds awesome down there.

my storm totals will always be low, tends to be more of "what's on the ground." I looked at that band coming and figured for once I was going to actually give some good data. That was really cool. But also understand that was light light powdery snow.

If someone from Sagamore or Manomet reports 12-15" at 11, take that total over mine as I don't clear every six hours.

The photo I posted earlier of the porch, I can't take another one because the back doors are snowed in. That's how much has fallen I'm still in shock.

The cape and islands should continue to snow for quite awhile in the wake of this band. Further north...the precip shuts off rather abruptly after band passage. Moon was visible pretty quickly after band passage here in Maine...and that could be the case in BOS and surrounding areas within the next hour or two. Although I'd rather have it snow more...the full moon reflects nicely off the freshly fallen snow. Isn't there supposed to be some sort of lunar eclipse tonight? I thought I saw something about that on the news tonight. May not have been for here.

Yup. Full lunar eclipse. First time in 456 years it's happened in conjunction with the solstice, Somehow, I don't think our SE friends are going to mind missing the eclipse.

looks like NE RI and the blackstone, ma area (big rombowski) is into some prolonged steady snow......progressing toward moderate and then probably heavy

i wonder if this band will dissipate somewhere? it is acting strangely over plymouth county now....i.e seems like it has moved more Westerly now then the previous WSW.

just started snowing decently again here in w. framingham.....

The 15-20 dbz returns are -sn. Been under them for hours now and it's accumulated to ~2-1/2"

Reason I really thought a great storm would be spawned, both coasts too just too far off for us. There is more to weather generation than we know however minute the effect is.

I think it's wrong unfortunately. BOS is probably done for much if not all of the night after this band I would think.

You said that the Cape will continue to get heavy snow, do you still think that, even when we are tapering to flurries right now?

Also given the numerous 12"+ amounts across the outer Cape, I think it is accurate enough to say that 13.5" is a good measurement for Harwich, MA.
