If the Euro was correct on its 12z run....then I think this heavier stuff just off the coast will be the final push to the west....the Euro had one more final surge trying to push west it looked like centered around 00z or just a bit after. So we'll see how far W that stuff can make it. There's better echoes now getting on shore around Cape Ann and a steadier looking snow all out over the waters in Mass Bay. This should rotate into BOS over the next few hours...the band from hell probably wont make it that far west, but the Cape could get that.

Wow, great forcing behind the main band ready to make a push towards the west. The radar almost shows like a low level jet pushing the band westward just NE of Provincetown, MA. This band could make us reach 10" or more if it reaches us tonight as temps have continued to drop now around 31f. Also to note, the powerlines are close to falling right now do to the weight of the snow and expected strengthening wind gusts.

Will that band is being enhanced by what looks like an easterly low level jet. It looks like that band can make it to Hyannis and points east. Pivot point may become nantucket, MA overnight tonight.

There is no easterly low level jet...if there was, I'd probably be getting heavy snow back here. The winds are all out of the N in the low levels (925-850mb)...I think its some mid-level frontogenesis helping enhance that band...we do have some WAA out of the north in the mid-levels (there is a bit of easterly component at 700mb helping this). If it can hold together, you should get a nice burst of near heavy snow...that band probably would produce 1-2 inches per hour if it held in intensity.

Oh yeah, may bad. Jumped the gun on that one. Winds are NEerly here. Yup. Should have looked at the soundings instead, might get a better picture. My bad. Getting too excited for this band to impact me. Nice storm though on satellite imagery. Very cold cloud tops to the southeast of me.

What about tomorrow nite? Euro and GGEM both dropped some snow across 2/3 of SNE

Euro maybe had eastern half of SNE getting something, but mostly near the coast tomorrow night. Best chance for us is likely Wednesday night.

I'm hopeful to see something out of this last surge to the west in the next 6-10 hours....but I won't count on it.

This looks to spread some synoptic moisture back across northern New England, too... Coupled with a NW flow, BTV calling for 2-4" tomorrow and another 2-5" on Wednesday of high ratio snow.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AFTER MIDNIGHT ACROSS NORTHERN

VERMONT. THIS WILL RESULT IN SOME ROADS BECOMING SNOW COVERED AND

SLIPPERY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

PERIODS OF SNOW IS EXPECTED TUESDAY, ESPECIALLY ACROSS NORTHERN

SECTIONS OF NEW YORK AND VERMONT. SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW IS

EXPECTED BY TUESDAY EVENING, ESPECIALLY ACROSS NORTHERN VERMONT.

SOME ROADS MAY BECOME SNOW COVERED, RESULTING IN SLIPPERY DRIVING CONDITIONS.

ANOTHER ROUND OF MAINLY LIGHT SNOWS ARE EXPECTED WEDNESDAY, WITH

SEVERAL ADDITIONAL INCHES OF SNOW POSSIBLE. ONCE AGAIN, THE

PRIMARY IMPACT WILL BE SNOW COVERED ROADS.
