mattmfm
Big step towards the NAM Not really. Better for the Cape/Islands but west of the Canal the differences are rather minute.

weathafella
Desean is THE best big play guy in the league for 2 years running. That helps in a Super Bowl. Pats peaking early, no way they wipe out the Birds in the big game. But I' dont' want to get ahead of myself...we all see where that got us the last few days. You'll be 0 for 2 against them but at least you'll beat me in the snow dept. Yeah Desean is something else. The kicker gave him/the team a gift. dryslot
Looks like the precip field @18z has shifted back NW from the paultry 12z run on the GFS, Trends are still positive as it looks like things are still ticking west..........

#NoPoles
went hiking in CT today...in one of the many state forests...i saw one snowflake at 3:09pm, when we had finished the hike and had just gotten back to the cars... massive massive car accident on 495 south between the mass pike exit and the next exit...skid and gouge marks in the pavement crossing from the very left lane all the way over to the right across the shoulder and into the embankment...car was as flat as a pancake...they were pulling it apart with the jaws of life...i don't think whoever was in that car could have survived...heavy heavy pats traffic back up.. mattmfm
Kevin's worst nightmare has returned. Matt, Ryan, and Cweat posting. Just for a few weeks. But he should be excited. My travels in the last few years have made me something of a snow magnet: Snowmaggedon, London snow this year, 40" during both of the last two Christmases I've been home. butterfish55
Just started to snow here. I'm also able to see a couple flakes with the help of my double 150w flood light. If I hold my hand in front of my eyes, blocking the light in a perfect way, I swear I can see them. Thank god for the NFL...at least we have proof that snow can still fall
Clinch Leatherwood
Thanks for the synopsis, i'm slowly coming back to life. the good thing about a sunday hangover is football. I fell asleep when the giants were up 3 touchdowns. I kind of think there's the potential for a 5-10 area if it is cold enough. We will just have to wait to see where the sharp banding sets up. RUC to me is mainly a miss still, the heavy band would be down near aCKwaves. But again let's see how it all plays out. radar looks like we're seeing some NNE movement now. Clinch Leatherwood
well radar showing first signs of OES...note the SW moving echoes. http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?product=NCR&rid=box&loop=yes I dont know looks pretty good. Dont love the RUC though to me it's a mirror of the GFS which is close but no cigar.
