snowstormcanuck
Nice thing about heavy, wet snow and light winds is that it's basically nipher-proof. YYZ should have a representative total.
blizzardof96
The 0c 925mb line appears to have slowed rapidly with its progression northward and is now beginning to pivot east. Don't think mixing will be a problem at all for anyone north of Oakville this evening/overnight. Writing is on the wall for an EC bust and 4-7" totals working out pretty well. Hope the bands across London can make their way north towards the GTA. Radar looks impressive down that way though some of it is rain.

snowstormcanuck
RA/SN line clearly evident on KC radar. As Bliz96 mentioned, basically stationary.

Snowstorms
9.0cm in my area now. YYZ reporting SN with 0.8km visibility. Radar looks impressive down towards Hamilton. Hoping some deformation bands form.

Hoping some deformation bands form. All those yellows and oranges are rain, so I'll be content if they stay away. Mid level deformation is not really driving this storm as much as strong positive vorticity advection and low level convergence/frontogenesis. snowstormcanuck
It'll be interesting to see what the final numbers look like. Frankly, returns have looked kind of ragged in the actual Snowfall warning to our north. I'd say right along the 401 corridor has fared best today. Maybe Torchaggedon could chime in at some point. blizzardof96
8.0cm snowfall total thus far. Hoping we can sneak into the lower end of my 5-7" call.
on_wx
I think KW has a chance of finishing under 15cm. Haven't been able to get any reliable measurements since I've been all over today, but haven't even seen anything to suggest we've had over 10cm. We had one good spell of SN, but it's been fine grain snows all day.

snowstormcanuck
Any more heavy returns on the way? Wouldn't you rather just look at radar than take someone's word for it?
snowstormcanuck
Anyway, returns on Exeter Radar are becoming thinner. Now the sfc low overhead and moving off, the snowshield will tend to drift SE with time. I think things may start to wind down over the next 1-2 hours (although not end completely).
