snowstormcanuck
Probably a result of the cooler then normal ground temps with the bitter temps weve had lately. Temp up to 34 though... Maybe your thermometer is off? You're north of the 401 and YYZ is still sub -1c. Even the Island isn't that warm.

Ya, its probably off. I have two stations, one is at 34 and the other at 30. Latest run of the HRRR nudged south BTW. If extrapolated, its probably a 6-8" run for YYZ. Torontonian
Maybe your thermometer is off? You're north of the 401 and YYZ is still sub -1c. Even the Island isn't that warm. My thermometer outside here near Queens Park has been at -0.5c last couple hours. Poured little water on pavement outside an hour ago and it has left icy glaze. Very light snow, no mix yet. Once the heavier stuff across SE MI moves in over the next couple of hours, I think temps will level off if not fall back a touch.
blizzardof96
Exeter returns ramping up nicely. Things should start to get interesting over the next two hours. Final call for YYZ, 5-7".
London snowsquall
Flakes starting to fall here in the last 5 minutes. Was just flurries before that but now steadier snow, but still light intensity. Also nice to see something other than pixie dust sized flakes. If extrapolated, its probably a 6-8" run for YYZ. I have two stations as well, and one of them always seems to have warm bias, particularly in winter for some reason. The one I trust the most (and from which I take my daily temperature recordings) says I'm at -3.0 Celsius at McCowan and Steeles.

snowstormcanuck
Temperature has risen two degrees in the past hour up to -1.3 Celsius.... Still looks like a bit of wiggle room with TDs but even when the pcpn increases the warming doesn't abate.

snowstormcanuck
Bust potential? Yes. Especially if the heavy rates don't develop in the next 2-3 hours and especially to your south.
