there's very few things dc does worse than isolated snow squalls.  i'd be surprised to see a squall make it down here.  they usually dry up.  then again, it's been a while since we've had a good one so maybe we're due.

Didn't the area have one last year one morning? D.C. split right now doesn't look good.

This has to be one of the more frustrating radars for me ever. Multiple times today I have had radar returns over me with not a single flake...

Wow.

Dude if you are on the edge of one of these localized bands with 5 or even 10 dbz returns, you probably arent going to see more than a flake or two. Your location just never got squarely under one, thus weak or no lift.

Yea, apparently I didn't.

Although earlier (about 4-5 hours ago) I was right under a 15-20dbz band and saw diddly squat. Lift is the operative word you touched on-- no lift.
