You don't see LWX AFD's saying such things like this too often in the short range...http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&issuedby=LWX&product=AFD&format=CI&version=1&glossary=1&highlight=on

"WE ARE CLOSELY MONITORING A WELL-ORGANIZED SNOW SQUALL OVER THE
WRN HALF OF WV ERY THIS EVE. THIS BAND OF LOCALLY HVY SNOW HAS
DEVELOPED ALONG THE ARCTIC COLD FRONT. THIS BAND WILL IMPACT THE WRN
POTOMAC HIGHLANDS BETWEEN 7 AND 9 PM...POSSIBLY DROPPING AN 1 OR 2
IN AN HOUR. MAY NEED TO UPGRADE WINTER WX ADVISORIES TO WARNINGS
IF THIS BAND HOLDS UP AND ESSENTIALLY TRAINS OVER THE SAME LOCATION
LIKE YOU OFTEN SEE IN SUMMER TIME FLASH FLOODING EVENTS. STEEP LAPSE
RATES FROM STRONG CAA BEHIND THE FRONT MAY ALLOW THESE SNOW
SHOWERS TO MAINTAIN ITSELF AS IT CROSSES THE APPALACHIANS. HAVE
ADDED CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS FARTHER EAST TO THE BLUE RIDGE AS
WELL AS THE NRN THIRD OF THE CWA...WHERE HIRES MODEL GUIDANCE
PROVIDES SOME SUPPORT FOR SOME OF THESE SNOW BANDS TO MOVE THRU
BETWEEN 9 PM AND 2 AM."
