Stormlover74
Lol....its hardly moderate... Uh it can be moderate in one place and not another. Its definitely moderate here now and I'd guess anywhere the better bands are

mgerb
about 20 minutes worth of false starts here... flurries... to momentarily light snow.... back to a flurry. That's how it started in Somerset. Despite being under decent radar reflectivities, only a few flakes were falling. But I can assure you, there is some good snow just to your NW. RU848789
Lol....its hardly moderate... Pretty sure I know what moderate snow is - visibility right now is about 0.4 miles and moderate snow is defined as 0.25-0.50 miles, ergo, it's snowing moderately. Stop trolling. RU848789
So, after 1/2 hour of moderate snow, we have a quick 1/4" of new snow on the ground - nice to whiten everything up - looks nice and fresh. Would love to at least get 1/2" from this band and maybe another 1/2" from the precip in Central PA, assuming that precip gets here in the mid-afternoon. Anything over 1" overall would be gravy. sferic
Well I think we will get at least a coating if not more from squall with frontal passage
RU848789
borderline heavy snow now - really coming down nicely - radar doesn't look as impressive as the snow does, lol. Not sure if this is going to last more than 5-10 minutes, but right now it's beautiful - time for a quick walk outside...
BlueSkiesFading
Snow quickly picked up intensity here over the last couple of minutes. Now getting moderate snow. Visibility is about 0.50 miles and the temp has dropped back a bit to 24.6 degrees.
TwcMan
Wonder if this storm will "lactate" as the one on Tuesday did. I'll look to upton for details...

Yep, just about 6-7 minutes of the nearly heavy snow - back to moderate-moderate snow (i.e., about 0.4 miles visibility). Oh well. Did a quick measure and we're at 3/8" in 40 minutes of snow. Snow seems to have decreased in intensity as per radar. Should still be enough to get me to at least 1/2" in this band, though.

BlueSkiesFading
Received a quick dusting on all surfaces and it's still coming down moderately. It's sort of interesting to see the snow coming down sideways from right to left on SW winds, as normally it blows in the exact opposite direction. SnoSki14
I love how just as a squall line in the summer weakens just before it gets to me, this snow band does the same lol, just have some flurries.
