Is it just me or does it look like the clipper is going to directly hit? All the heavy returns are running the MD/PA line due east.

I got about 1.5" to 2" out of it. The darker echos to the south mean business - looks like closer to 3" with that batch around Morgantown

Going to wind up between 7" and 8" since yesterday morning, so no complaints here

Hmmm...(asked with a facetious tone...)

Doesn't anyone want to comment on the 18Z GFS?  You'd think that 22" of snow followed by -17F low temp would get somebody excited. :lmao:

That was the best model run for our entire area of the winter.

Don't look now but things are rapidly trending in favor of a you-know-where snowstorm...

We have to worry about it not being all snow much much more than it missing us.

GEFS has been consistently showing a strong signal for a significant event across our area Feb 5-6.  Op runs have been bouncing around but the GEFS has been solid for days.  The pattern coming could be amazing if we end up on the right side of the gradient.  I find it hard to believe we will end up south of the boundary for all of the waves that are likely to come in the next 3 weeks.

Wow temps have launched above freezing in the west this morning ahead of the arctic front where SW winds have mixed down.. lots of upper 30s to near 40 temps. KAOO is actually reporting light rain and 40ºF currently while mesowest obs still showing low to mid 20s nearby. KAOO is at about 1500ft and it is reporting SW winds of 20mph with G25. Still about 24ºF here and calm.

yesterday there were places in Illinois that hit the mid 50s before the front and fell into the teens to low 20s in 1-2 hours after the front passed... love to watch those kind of temperature swings with a front

Yea def was not expecting rain, but front has arrived here with a wind driven rain. I'm sure that'll be good on the roads. Can see a little bit of mixing back in with snow so should be really short lived.
