Bob Chill
I like how the 4-6 contour does everything possible on that map to avoid MoCo in Maryland I'm glad we are all getting some good snow today. That map is wrong. I've picked up almost .75 in the last 45 mins. Almost 2.5 already. I'm getting 5-6 dammit
ravensrule
It is just puking snow right now. Just measured 4" on the nose, not sure if that is possible since i added 0.8" in 45 minutes. Edit: guess it is correct since Mr. Chill added about the same amount.

Yeah, that sounds okay. It's been pouring for the past hour. I don't think that I have 4" yet, but it's hard to tell because so much is blowing off the roof and trees. Probably around 3" here. Kmlwx
Death band is creeping on me I will send it your way so that you, me and Bob Chill can all be in on the action. It's awesome here right now. Mailman just got stuck on our street because he stopped at the bottom to sort mail. It looks like this Baltimore to Fairfax deathband wants to park for a while. Seems to be the primary band right now.

haudidoody
Low visibility, but still light accumulations here in Alexandria. Heavier stuff seems to be redeveloping to my NW... what else is new I guess.
clskinsfan
2:00 5.2 inches. S+ 22 degrees. The models did an excellent job of sniffing out where the heavy snow bands would set up this afternoon. Current radar is very similar to the NAM's sim radar from last nights runs. needbiggerboat
My guess IAD ends up with 4.5", rates have been unimpressive for the last 3 hours My guess is you will be wrong, on the low side. Looks like the banding is building and backing, so IAD should start to pick up in a hour or so. I'd be OK with 4.5, but I think it's closer to 8-10 for the event.
