ThreeRedheads
Wind hasn't been an issue all day, but now it's starting to pick up. Wind gust 16.
bigjohndc
I believe I'm at about 5 inches, however I'm on a hill and have everything for 2 to 8 inches. I know I received 1.5 since the deathband started. I was outside and it is really brutal with snow still coming down.
stormtracker
So a 5-10 event We did it man...we finally did it. 3 long years of suffering. We've reached a mountain top. When do we begin the hunt anew?
SPsnowman
How accurate is this?: MARYLAND: Snow continues to billow into the two major metro areas in central Maryland as what has become coastal low pressure moves towards the northeast at a faster pace. Currently, a band of snow over Baltimore extending down through the DC metro is dropping another inch to two inches of snow over the area, which will indefinitely effect final snowfall totals in the region. The Eastern Shore will continue picking up lighter and more consistent snowfall as heavier bands of snow make their way over the Chesapeake Bay, tapping into enriched Atlantic moisture. An additional snowfall count of up to three inches is possible in the northern sector of the Eastern Shore, while areas west of the Chesapeake Bay will likely see around two more inches of accumulation snow. Wind chills tonight will likely drop below -10ºF with gusts of 30mph blowing and drifting accumulated snow. Visibility reduction is also possible in these near-whiteout conditions. Just showed up on FB at 8:30.

North Balti Zen
Just went out. Gorgeous. I have seldom seen snowflakes of this type. Just little tumbleweed balls of awesome. 7 inches. 7! Might squeeze out a little more as it is still coming down. What a great storm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
feloniousq
Still little twinkle flakes falling. I too am a little dubious of IAD's total...I'm right there and I'd eyeball just over 6, but I've had a fair amount lost to wind and compaction. I'll call it 7.

ThePhotoGuy
Pouring snow. Snow totals were about 6 inches before this band came through. Just beautiful. Mod/heavy snow at temps of 18. Nice winds too.
Grothar of Herndon
Received 5.5" for the storm. I am 5 miles east of IAD. I am surprised by their 7"+ measure. I guess they ended up under an extra band or two. All good and very happy with this storm. Very light snow still falling, but don't expect any further accumulation. caviman2201
What about the 12 inch or more drought? considering we only see 1'+ snowstorms every 3-4 yrs, those droughts are 'supposed to' happen, so to speak. That being said, we're about due.
NorthArlington101
I have somewhere between 5-6", the winds and blowing feel lovely in a killer, frostbite way. Never got the big dendrites, that is my one regret.

usedtobe
I'm now getting dendrites and have moderate snow. Pretty sure I have 4 inches just looking out the window. I'll measure after the band moves through. I'm a happy camper. Overall, the models rocked.
