mitchnick
BWI should be close to that by now since they last reported at 5 p.m. and it was 4". I am at least 7" now with this hellacious band that continues but I thought that list had a bogus 4.1 at 7PM...if that's their reading, they are off their rocker
MN Transplant
Cuckold Creek? WTF? On the Patuxent near the bay. Or at least that's what Google tells me.
Kmlwx
We haven't seen a plow yet - tho we are on a dead end street. Would expect to see one in the next few hours unless main roads continue to be really bad.

There was a period this afternoon where they were snowing good and I was very light. That was the difference. Nice storm.....love its gonna stay wicked cold. TowsonWeather
Not sure about compaction, but I measured 6.5 inches here a little while ago in what is basically south Towson (Idlewylde/Anneslie). Really hoping these last few flakes can get us to 7...I predicted 7 inches to a few friends ;-) Of note, these last bands are radically different than what we've been getting all day. Went from decorators sugar to the fluffiest, sparkliest, dendrite-iest flakes of all time. Really piled up this last inch in a short period of time. Kmlwx
ha! we never see plows on residential streets anymore in Anne Arundel County....it's pathetic They used to just not plow our street but ever since the Jan 2011 storm they have been on point. Sometimes they even break protocol and plow us before the snow stops.
DDweatherman
ha! we never see plows on residential streets anymore in Anne Arundel County....it's pathetic same goes in Baltimore county, not much in the way of plows on the secondary streets. What typically happens is you'll see a plow during the first inch after salt trucks have come through, but after that only the more important major streets that feed into those side streets get the attention. That's what happens what you have optimal temperatures and little disruption in the h7 snow growth zone. A true thing of beauty for the last 2-3 hours of the event.
