I might be over 6. I did a really poor job measuring this one. I'll wait till obs come into lwx before making a final

Same here.  I feel confident that over 7" has fallen by now, probably more like 8" fallen.  With compaction, probably near 7" on the ground.

That last band is everything that could ever be advertised. Reminds us that it's not over till it's over, and there are near infinite ways to reach a final total.

Roads in old town Alexandria got crushed. Saw 2 different accidents on my way back from happy hour. Gonna be a rough night, am. Should make OPM's decisions easier.

I just measured around 6.5 inches which would jive pretty well with Bob Chill...although I do think I am a victim of compaction. Probably was more like 7.5 inches. Snowing still but not as hard. Finished shoveling the driveway of the bulk of the snow. Assuming not a whole lot more will fall.

There's a couple good observers very close to me. I'm going to add them together and divide by 2 for my personal tally. No matter which way you slice it, this storm performed in Rockville. Multiple bursts of heavy snow of varying ratios. Streets covered. Low vis. Cold temps. Going away present death band. wow

There are literally 8"+ drifts in the middle of major streets in DC......We have to have the worst snow removal on the planet...which is great,...major delays  tomorrow

My guess is a lot of the snow is plowed by tomorrow but with super cold temps there's going to be so much ice.
