DDweatherman
Wow, actually really really coming down here, guessing this is the band that Ravensrule has been in. This should get me over 6 inches I would guess. Sent from my iPhone I told you the big leagues were headed your way earlier.

NorthArlington101
probably radar hallucinations, but helpful pivot may be trying to happen. feel like its trying to move slightly north again. http://www.marylandwx.com/radar/klwxmetro_br.php
usedtobe
It is so awesome outside. Who doesn't like how the sky looks when it snows? Hoping it holds together. It looks like it is weakening a little as it come east.

Swiscaster
Just took a Jebwalk. Impressive snow out there. Surface of the snow was bumpy, indicative of heavy snowfall rates and good flake size. (OK, so maybe my posts were moved or something, but some did not remain in the thread. And to be clear, I didn't have a "warm scenario." The summary of my posts was that there is always a fear of a north trend with these, and that would lead to factors which would limit acculumation, especially on roadways during much of the day. Then we'd maybe get a thump after dark and end up with 2-3" with 1" on the roads, not a huge deal. How it played out: I didn't have road stickage until about 3pm, just measured 3 inches in the grass, and just measured 1 inch on the street. This is probably indicative of a decent chunk of the immediate DC area, more or less. I know it is still snowing and that is not perfect verification, but all I said was I might be closer than what the models or other posters whose posts were not deleted were saying. The End.) Wonderdog
Been snowing heavily for the past two hours. Up over 5 inches in a protected area. Probably over 6 if I had a good place to measure. I may have been premature in my "underperform" comment.
Mrs.J
This FCPS used em all up and then some. Really... how many do you get built in? We get 5 and then any more days off Spring break gets eaten into before adding on at the end of the year.
Ltrain
Hoping it holds together. It looks like it is weakening a little as it come east. Yeah It seems like it weakened as it moved east. Oh, well, I'm still enjoying it.

NorthArlington101
Can someone else please comment on this so I know if I'm crazy, is a re-pivot happening? Have our prayers been answered? http://www.marylandwx.com/radar/klwxmetro_br.php I feel like its trying to shift NE, which would keep us in the green for awhile. WxUSAF
I don't see any particular signs of a pivot. Maybe some weak backbuilding.
yoda
Really... how many do you get built in? We get 5 and then any more days off Spring break gets eaten into before adding on at the end of the year. Fairfax has 3 days built-in... tomorrow is #5. Anybody else around me corroborate 5" or so? I think 6 is pressing it, but I did 10 different measurements and most were just over 5 but I had 3 6" on the nose
DDweatherman
I don't see any particular signs of a pivot. Maybe some weak backbuilding. Not as much a pivot as just an change in the precip vector. Moving less SE and more ENE/NE in some parts of the shield.
