snow.
the concerns about the slight north trend for points dc and south appear to have been completely valid. still nice out, but a bit of a letdown given the 6-10" forecasted as well as the crashing temps. it is what it is. time to go for a walk soon. of course they were...we know the drill...we just arent allowed to be honest before an event....my melt downs are warranted 100% of the time...I could behave better, but I am batting 1.
needbiggerboat
Heaviest radar returns of the day shaping up over eastern FDK county now... Looks like sweet action

Joshfsu123
At around 3 inches in Navy Yard (SE DC) --- did a few measurements around the area.
WxUSAF
Yeah, I don't really buy the idea that DC is done. Not with that nice band forming to the NW and sliding to the SE. When that band goes through, yeah, probably done.
snow.
It may not but I dont think you can say it cant...you're on the ledge too much dude, you almost called storm cancel last night. I showed grave concern about temps and north trend,...concerns that were completely validated as usual....I dont do well here...I accept that....and I am not going to act all pollyannish about it when there is evidence to suggest caution...I realize that isnt permissible behavior here...You have to pretend we are all going to be buried knee deep...but I aint changing
needbiggerboat
That mega band may come close to northern most dc

MN Transplant
Highly confident in this measurement - identical to the hundredth from a snow core and from what was in the gauge. Liquid equivalent: 0.31" Snowfall: 3.7" 12:1 ratio
87storms
of course they were...we know the drill...we just arent allowed to be honest before an event....my melt downs are warranted 100% of the time...I could behave better, but I am batting 1.000 there's a bit of a "you only fit in if you're overly optimistic" trait on this board which is kind of weird, but whatever. i'm glad we had an areawide event. glad we broke the 2" barrier. and glad it was cold without temp issues. HighStakes
Storm is done here . got probably about 5 inches on average. high ratios were a huge help here because snow rates have been very light most of day ....i'm guessing .25 water maybe .3 . Just to my southwest in frederick co . radar trends have me thinking someone probably has 7-8 inches there - probably one of the jackpot areas locally. all and all nice storm. Less then 60hrs. ago this was snow showers. Got over 7 at the moment and still under a good band. Looks like we'll finish with about 8 here. Most reports around Westminster are in the 7-9 range. Looks like you just missed out on a couple of the heavier bands.
Jebman
there is some snow forming to my SE associated with the developing coastal, but it is just a bit to far south. tough being caught in the middle between the rippin maryland deathband and the developing coastal band too the southeast lmao congrats to the recipients of both bands

MN Transplant
nice...I figure I did 11:1 here...so probably about 0.24" for me The climo precip reports are just trash from IAD and DCA.
