Are folks in DC really seeing heavy snow now?? I'm in Silver Spring inside the beltway, right at the northern tip of dc. Despite the radar I haven't seen ANY measurable snow in the last half hour. Just flurries...

lol really? I'm in Colesville and I'm getting raked. It might not look like much out the window because it's blowing around a bit.

I'll have to go for another walk then... It actually seems to have picked up the last 5 minutes or so.

Bob are you alive you look like you are getting raped right now. You have little yellows right over you.

I tried walking the dog. It was all fun and games until we hit the top of hill and winds gusted during +sn. My face got pummeled. Back inside drinking beer. It's DUMPIN!

Nice snow here, but only light to moderate... It's certainly nothing close to ripping. That's 35+ dbz territory.

Best for last man! I thought I timed my drive earlier. This is awesome. Colorado rocky style dendrites and powder. Wow

Super easy to shovel too - It feels like I'm lifting air in the shovel. My friends think I'm crazy for enjoying the task of shoveling lol.

I wonder how long this band can stick around before it either snows itself out or rolls out.

Just went out for a 1.5hr walk thru Georgetown.. from mod snow to ice pellets to ++SN with 30 mph gusts. Reminds me exactly of the Feb 2006 storm, tho slightly colder.. about 4.5-5" near Dupont Circle with another 2" likely

Near Rock Creek Pkwy..

Had too much to drink and took that first pic on laying on the ground?

Just walked to the Twinbrook 7-11 for hot chocolate with the family and it was ripping snow. Rockville is cashing in a bit on this one!
