Looks like potential to stay below 32 F until 2/4 to 2/6.  This could be longest below freezing streak in record potentially for the NYC area.  Wonder if NYC gets 40-45 inches of snow on the ground by 2/5/14.  Mets and others discuss what you see down the road.  The pattern really supports this strongly.  I bet we end and snap the cold pattern around 2/10 with a NESIS 4 HECS blizzard.  The only positive is the sun just started its rapid increase of its daily noon declination, assuring us we will be done w/ this in 4-6 weeks if it kept going straight wire to wire Arctic cold and snow.

Oh, no! You're buying into the "sun angle issue" notion too for February?! That's like saying a guy/girl entering his 30s automatically becomes physically unattractive due to his age.
