dendrite
The smokestack never lies..banding set up just to my NW. BUT, happy with the OES which is visible at times on radar and is delivering comparable rates. Out to shovel right now, drifts approaching bumper depth. Ayer special. powderfreak
Northerly component under the beam. Kev has to be about 6kft below the OKX beam. Yeah that's what I was figuring...all SFC obs are north winds at 10-20mph, that fluffy snow can travel quite a bit south in 6kft of fall distance. Mr. Windcredible!
Man...if this band were just 5 miles further south....it would make all the difference here. Mostly light stuff here the past hour

NorEastermass128
This should at least put my over 20" for the month. Maybe close to 2 feet on the month. I'll take it. Hoping a lucky few can verify 12"+

KackWax
23F, NE20, G28, 1/4 mi. and less visibility, 29.85. Snow started about 15:15 light small stuff, 1/4 inch by 15:45, 1 1/4 inch by 16:45. Really coming down, already starting to drift. Visibility sometimes down to less than fifty yards. Sorry about the quality of this shot, we were sliding at the time. jamesnichols1989
Snow has tapered off a bit, but about 25-30 minutes ago we were ripping S+, we probably got an inch or two within a 40 minute period, we now have about 2.5" of snow on the ground since 1pm this afternoon. FRWEATHA
snow intensity has lessened some here last 15 minutes. Heaviest band seems to have shifted north. Wish the Bruins were playing tonight. Nothing better than watching hockey on a snowy night.
HoarfrostHubb
The ML fronto is going nuts right now...it might scarf some of the QPF intended for NW areas. We'll see if the banding starts tilting a bit more as we go into the evening. That's awful. Just awful. Someone's gotta pay
Damage In Tolland
Northerly low level winds blowing that snow from the mid-level band a few miles south when it hits the ground? Or dry air eating into it from the north? For my area OKX radar works bette than BOX..BOX never is accurate
