Damage In Tolland
About 2 inches. I have been right on the N edge of the heavy band. I like how it's building North over in HFD County

40/70 Benchmark
You'll be riding the line. I'm screwed! I bet you end up with 6 -7 and I get 1-3 I'm not used to this.....subsidence is one thing, but this precise track is not climatologically favored. Rain/snow lines, sure..... I like how it's building North over in HFD County Considering that Sooter has more than you and is well east, I don't think you got under the heaviest. Main show, sure... JJBASHB
Its a little south of that one even. Was the band oriented more WSW-ENE in that one initially and then tilt more SW-NE as the low passed by? I could see something similar happening. Light snow here in Hubbardston. New coating Nice! I thought we'd be wasting a couple more hours moistening up the surface.

ROOSTA
The lightning detector is going to town to bad it's way S and E. Against all odds (models) I'm still thinking this delivers locally 8-12". Always knew there would be a sharp cut-off Somewhere between PV, James and Phil somebody is going to pull a 20" out of the ars 13.3F S- System is going to bomb, UL is just now hitting the coast of VA. Trof axis is neutral - going negative Will be fun to watch unfold as it is.

thomasnh
light virga kissing concord. I am at the place downtown now on main st. any returns making it to the ground yet in snh? I'm going to check the hourlies at 6pm. Nothing is coming down here in Amherst/Milford, NH. I really am trying to understand the WSW? An advisory maybe but I don't see us getting enough to warrrant a warning? Am I missing something?
ORH_wxman
The ML fronto is going nuts right now...it might scarf some of the QPF intended for NW areas. We'll see if the banding starts tilting a bit more as we go into the evening.

RobbieL241
Its been one of those "in-and-out" type storms so far where one moment its puking and the next it isn't as the fringe banding rots out and then backbuilds. Not conductive for big accums. so maybe 7 instead of 10 for MBY.
MarkO
I'm not used to this.....subsidence is one thing, but this precise track is not climatologically favored. Rain/snow lines, sure..... I hear ya. I'm usually just north enough to see snow when inside 128 is ripping raindrops. U guess it's about time my luck ran out. This winter has been overperforming for our area. powderfreak
Not the prime spot to be. You want to be under the heart of it on radar or on the south side. Northerly low level winds blowing that snow from the mid-level band a few miles south when it hits the ground? Or dry air eating into it from the north? Clinch Leatherwood
The smokestack never lies..banding set up just to my NW. BUT, happy with the OES which is visible at times on radar and is delivering comparable rates. Out to shovel right now, drifts approaching bumper depth. weatherwiz
Based on alot of the obs and looking at 18z runs and the latest RAP...I have to think a chunk of CT south and east of Hartford could potentially receive as much as 10-16'' of snow and some areas across far eastern MA will reach the same and perhaps even near some 20'' amounts or so. It appears as if models are slowing down the storm some and even developing somewhat of a closed off circulation at 700mb...it's not a tight circulation but latest RAP/GFS does show one. powderfreak
That radar looks like that Feb 06 event but further SE and weaker...instead of 4" per hour it's only 2" per hour haha. But the axis looks identical just further south in SNE.
