sferic
Questions to be answered: Thundersnow ? When the last band crosses NYC/Long Island Also, still no answer as to duration, I have read as early as tonight around late evening it to ending to late tomorrow morning ...which is more likely?. Saturn510
Probably ends after you go to sleep..lol around 2-4 am western Jersey and 4- 5 am for Long Island. When you are unsure of start or end times, Click on the sim radar for the NAM to get a general idea. It is usually not too far off on its sim radar regarding start or ending of a storm. Dude , left wife in charge of measuring , don't think that's work out well , so please keep me up in MC . Think a 15 spot shows up on the board somewhere in the corridor , but by that time , its not gona matter .

REDMK6GLI
Bluewave and John , picked that out 1st to be fair . But you`re in a good spot man To be honest im just uneasy, most of time in these storms NYC and earthlight land end up doing the best instead of coastal areas originally forecasted to get the brunt of the deformation banding
Animal
SREF still look fantastic Even back in my neck of the woods too, they looks solid.
REDMK6GLI
SREF still look fantastic Care to eloborate my friend? Im still surprised that total QPF is low im comparison to how strong this storm is going to be. Lack of southern stream interaction?

earthlight
The high res models including the 4km NAM show an impressive northward expansion of heavy banding later today. This should be really, really awesome. http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~fxg1/NAMSFC4_6z/rloop.html
sferic
Light to moderate snow in Lynbrook Temperature, probably high for today 23.4 degrees
IsentropicLift
Just about everyone on the latest SREF's are above 0.50" except the far NW corner of Sussex County which is 0.25"+ and far coastal Ocean and Monmouth Counties which are 0.75"+. Using 0.50 at 20:1 that should drop 10" and both QPF and ratios will likely be higher than that. Would not be surprised if based on the latest trends a few sites approached 20". sferic
Looking better and better, Give me 15 inches, thundersnow, and a quit time not before 6AM tomorrow morning and I'll be happy. Make it to 20 inches, delay end time to noon tomorrow, with temps no higher than 10 with another chance of snow by Thursday and I'll be ecstatic.
