Judging by the VV's ( thanks for teaching me that paul ) looks like LI should see some heavy banding tonight with some thundersnow

Bluewave and John , picked that out 1st to be fair .  But you`re in a good spot man

To be honest im just uneasy, most of time in these storms NYC and earthlight land end up doing the best instead of coastal areas originally forecasted to get the brunt of the deformation banding

Just about everyone on the latest SREF's are above 0.50" except the far NW corner of Sussex County which is 0.25"+ and far coastal Ocean and Monmouth Counties which are 0.75"+.

 

Using 0.50 at 20:1 that should drop 10" and both QPF and ratios will likely be higher than that. Would not be surprised if based on the latest trends a few sites approached 20".
