BuffaloWeather
You can see convective rolls over lake ontario on the buf radar. Pretty cool. More thunder? I've had thunder snow with 5 events this year. Incredible. Snow has picked up considerably the last 10 minutes.
DeltaT13
The storm is really deepening now..and its Interesting to see the greatest pressure falls in CNY at this time. I never expected the winds to be this intense in Rochester this early on. It's been a pretty incredible day so far.

ENYsnow
enjoy the snow out there guys! meanwhile the 18Z sounding tells the story in ALB. nice ice storm ongoing right now with the temp at 30F thanks to northerly ageo flow down the hudson valley. we might manage a few inches on the back end tonight, but I'm looking forward to some more pictures from WNY/CNY. THIS WILL BRING STORM TOTALS TO 6 TO 10 INCHES ACROSS SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHERN TIER...THE 10 TO 18 INCH RANGE ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA SOUTH OF LAKE ONTARIO...AND AS HIGH AS 12 TO 20 INCHES EAST OF LAKE ONTARIO. DeltaT13
How much more can we expect from the lake enhancement? Boom There you have it. The radar is a little choppy but I see definite enhancement over Orleans and Niagara County. Likely over Monroe to, but its being overshot. BuffaloWeather
KBUF around 9 inches as of now. Another 5-8 would make the range 14-18 storm totals. =

Syrmax
Roads are absolute sh!t Brian....and with the setting sun and cooling airmass while continuing to snow/blow, it's more of a leave work while you can!!! Radars always scare people during a storm...it'll fill...best dynamics are about to come together.. We were cut loose at 3:45! How generous considering 7:30 start for most of us...you were right, roads were ****e. Back roads especially. I need this winter to end as my tire tread isn't what it used to be. Even 4x4 is iffy now.
