redbanknjandbigbasslakepa
HRRR not doing so well. Looks like it has the heavy band too far NW by 50+ miles or so. Getting killed here in Red Bank, NJ (NE Monmouth). Heavy snow (almost lake effect like band) 20 degrees closing in on 3"

JERSEYSNOWROB
Anyone under that band ... 18-24 Sounds extreme but with better than expected ratios, you may be onto something. It's piling up real fast here. Quickly turning ugly here in Monmouth County! Schools don't let out yet for another hour!! Yikes!
Wxnyc
Still snowing very hard here in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn...but we could be getting even more snow if that band edged northward.I measured on radar scope heaviest parts of that band are just 9 miles south east of us. It seems to be slowly creeping northwestwards.
Diego
Still snowing very hard here in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn...but we could be getting even more snow if that band edged northward. pazzo83
I measured on radar scope heaviest parts of that band are just 9 miles south east of us. It seems to be slowly creeping northwestwards. It's expanding/pivoting slowly.
Zelocita Weather
Even though the radar is mildly concerning currently with the orientation, I would assume later the pivot will come into play and shift the band northward....
LongBeachSurfFreak
Amazing a live shot from. Levittown about 5 miles to my north looked like it was snow half as hard as it is here this is a serious band hope it moves north so everyone else gets the love and I get into the heart of it
Snowmaster
Wife sayin Snowing very hard in CN, heaviest of the day , Caution , hearsay I can confirm that as I drove from Tinton Falls to Morganville, via Colts Neck on rt 34. The roads worsened dramatically around Holmdel and the back roads in Colts Neck were horrendous.

Sn0waddict
Even though the radar is mildly concerning currently with the orientation, I would assume later the pivot will come into play and shift the band northward.... Everything is on target so far. As Earthlight stated, there will be a time, roughly until 2pm, where the snow doesn't really make anorthward advancement. But after that time suddenly everything should start pushing north as the coastal takes over and moves NNE.
Stormlover74
Even though the radar is mildly concerning currently with the orientation, I would assume later the pivot will come into play and shift the band northward.... The good thing is it's been fairly steady to moderate the whole time even without the heavier bands and really it was just supposed to be getting under way now. 6" seems like a safe bet even without the heavy bands. The SPC discussion does say very slow progression of the band so it has to move at some point. Just does it shift north/Northwest or just expand Northeastward.
