I just measured 8" here in flat spots away from the house and trees. Distance from structures is essential. I suspect a lot of people on smaller lots are seriously over-measuring. It's just about 11 and look at the radar Short range models show another round of snow especially east of the city. The further east you are on Long Island, the better odds you have of still seeing a few inches. A band might be trying to set up from Monmouth into Queens/Nassau.
