IntenseBlizzard2014
Lonnie Quinn said I inch an hour bands oriented ne to sw west of NYC will slide east to Long Island.. Make sense? More like 2"/hr because the ratios will increase in the next few hours.

jm1220
Low in/off NC coast should continue to bomb Too bad we didn't have the kind of setup that would take that on a more northerly track. hrrr_current_ne.gif Too bad the upper level vort energy took a last minute SE trend. There will be some serious precip with that just offshore and looks like Cape Cod. It may clip Long Island on its way out.

Stormlover74
it is simply clear that the worst portion of this storm is about to begin ....anybody that says otherwise needs to get off the pipe! And no its not going to end in a few hours...LMAO Keep in mind he lives closer to Philly than NY so snow will shut off much earlier that way than from the city on east. But even then 9 seems too early unless the heavy bands start to break up.
NEXtreme
Mike Masco: STORM UPDATE|| SOME CHANGES** The storm is now developing a COASTAL system which is forming between NC coast and just off Ocean City, MD. There is growing evidence the storm maybe LEFT of guidance and forming closer to the coast. Should this be the case.. A foot plus will be a common number from I 95 EAST into NJ. weatherpruf
Frank Lombardo who does WCTC and other stuff in Jersey...he has been a met for eons. He and his staff I believe are the official forecasters for the Super Bowl WCTC? Didn't know they had any local talent on anymore; stopped listening when they dumped local programming years ago.
