Birds~69 Posted January 21, 2014 Share Posted January 21, 2014 I think roads will be pretty bad by 1230 I agree. Why bring the kids in for a couple hours and risk safety? Complete waste of time. As a kid I wouldn't listen to teacher one bit and stare out the window watching the snow fall...and I'm sure many will do just that and not learn a damn thing. A few days ago THIS is what most of us expected. It's pretty much gravy from here. SEPA/SNJ may also get in on some thundersnow action. Pretty impressive clipper. Took the daughter to school which already announced a early dismissal at 12:30. I told the Principal it was a mistake. He was told the heavy stuff would arrive after noon. Tool! In our school district - which is probably the same for all PA schools - You have to have a meal (lunch) for it to count as a "school day". Probably based on x number of hours. Our district has school. IF they plan on holding the kids till after lunch - I think "big mistake" . Worcester PA - 22 and steady light snow. In fact, its probably a joke God decided to play on me... cut-off webcam access, then have big storm on the day I was scheduled to fly back to restore it.
