Sparky
MN, that 700 map is sick. Lwx talked about the possibility of a heavy band starting n and rotating se as the low passes. Wow, I'm stoked that's what 12/8 did.
stormtracker
actually, substantial enough difference..lingering big hit nam_total_precip_ne_10.png NICE. Even with the smidge n movement, we're still good. Cant complain at all.

Bob Chill
The shield will bend and rotate se with this one as the low moves up. Radar loop is going in my archives. Full storm loop will awesome

NorthArlington101
eh....further north... i would care more if we still didn't gain more qpf, say the trend continues, we get what we started with pre this run. would still double our totals. Sparky
actually, substantial enough difference..lingering big hit nam_total_precip_ne_10.png It's hard for me to see the graduations in those blues.
Disc
I might be able to squeeze out an inch of snow with this run. I'd be quite amused if we get close to nothing considering all the schools are already closing for tomorrow.
NorthArlington101
actually, substantial enough difference..lingering big hit nam_total_precip_ne_10.png with rates 8-9 inch for DCA?
thunderman
Heavy snow potential/banding across NOVA/MD is high. Someone could score big on this one (double digits).
blueapple
Heaviest band (.5"+) on NAM kept same axis and shifted about 50mi north compared to 18z. Still great for everyone. Bring. it. on.
MN Transplant
Since everybody likes the 700 image, here is the best for us. The band keeps going to the NE. Long Island gets nailed.
Ian
Heaviest band (.5"+) on NAM kept same axis and shifted about 50mi north compared to 18z. Still great for everyone. Bring. it. on. could be noise.. especially on the NAM. you often have to play with the "dry slot" to win. not much change to 500 track and such.. though it's not the best run we've seen in DC for sure. Amped
Jackpot band over me, kind of like the 12z euro. NE maryland gets even more from it.

87storms
cant afford anymore north shift this is what i was saying earlier today...it's unrealistic to think the trend will just stop because the latest model was a hit. models don't lock in, they trend. that said, still looks like a really good hit, but i agree...no more north shift.
