michsnowfreak
Hey we are almost there for breaking several more records why stop now. just sayin. I would be pissed if it abruptly stopped ok...maybe I could go to an A . Seriously though....looking at forecasts of a frigid February...I just cant see us snowlessly torching the rest of winter away. Odds on that next to nil. stormtrackertf
DTW has to be ridiculously close to that all-time monthly record now. I LOVE that the fog-like wall of white that came in with the arctic front caked everything in snow...including my little mini white pine that now looks like a cheesy Christmas decoration. chances14
Nice video. I guess one advantage to living in a more urban area is you can still see pretty well at night. Out here in the boonies, it's pitch dark. lol Hey we are almost there for breaking several more records why stop now. just sayin. I would be pissed if it abruptly stoppedYou know what they say the more money you make, the greedier you get. I guess the same principle applies to us snow weenies as well

BowMeHunter
58 mph gust at LAF in the past hour. wow, real nice... Winds have been a total dud here.. prob a good thing (never is) that you missed out on the heavies tonight and throw in the relative torch earlier to limit the road disasters.. You guys have had your share already and nothing good like you know comes from what your highways have endured this winter.. Folks and semi drivers are sadly freaking nuts on the roads down there. Lots more good times to come down there yet this winter.

Stevo6899
Have noticed when the temps gets below 15, radar returns look weaker but it's still pouring. Wouldn't be surprised to surpass 4 inches here in Clinton twp.

OHweather
BKL in Downtown Cleveland recently gusted to 49 knots. Decent snows in the lakeshore counties in NE Ohio right now. Edit: Make that 52 knots at BKL and 46 knots at CLE. BLK is sustained at 35 knots.

Just a stones throw away from the all time record for any month. We are just 1.7" away from beating February 1908's record of 38.6" of snow in a calender month. That was actually the 1am total at DTW, note time stamp....so they had two more hours of snow afterward. So the arctic front total was 3.5"...which should put them at 3.1" on the calendar day for 1/27 just like 3.1" on 1/26. (Sunday morning event 2.7", arctic front 3.5"). So 38.1" of snow in January, a snow shower away from taking over the long-standing Feb 1908 record of 38.4". Also..sit at 54.8" on the season. I also had 3.5" with the arctic front on 0.14" liquid...and the winds picked up thereafter with the blowing and drifting. Calling depth 13", getting huge drifts. Technically that makes the 24-hour total snowfall 6.1"! Would have NEVER guessed that if you had told me that 24 hours ago. Total in January is now 38.5" imby with 55.4" on the season.
