Stebo
yep, might see some svr watch boxes later I wouldn't go that far lol. But I wouldn't be shocked to see a special weather statement for winds over 50mph with that band.
Chicago WX
Even the 12z GFS has some uptick in QPF with arctic front. Looks to be a small ribbon, centered just to the south/southwest/west of IKK.
cyclone77
Wow did not expect so much wind this early. Getting gusts 45-50mph the last 45 mins. Really looks crazy out there. Temp has actually dropped back from 31 to 28. Across the river in Clinton they're gusting to 54 now. Makes me wonder about how high the winds tonight might get if it's already this windy. Geos
Nothing past a light breeze here right now. Will be interesting to see how far north this snow squall line develops and if it can impact this area.
michsnowfreak
We went from a more salt-shaker snow to big fluffy flakes here...the visibility was actually lower in the finer flakes which had lighter radar returns, but either way it has been accumulating nicely. We are probably closing in on 2 inches but thats just a guesstimate Quite the familiar scene this winter!
