Gilbertfly
LOT wasn't 100% sure how "blowable" the existing snow would be (understandably)... at my local it is already blowing all over the place as if it had just fallen overnight...the next 24 hours are gonna be somewhat brutal for those in the elements

If these storms packed just a little more punch in the snow department it would be much more interesting.
A-L-E-K
on the potentially more interesting front, the NAM continues to have a micro band of ++SN racing across the I80 corridor sunday afternoon/evening.
gosaints
Would be a pretty impressive Minnesota blizzard if this thing could drop more than 2 inches of snow

DaveNay
yeah i bet it rocks and rolls out in the open like that It does. And having a 120 year old un-insulated house doesn't help. At least I replaced the old oil burner furnace last year. This winter has probably paid for the new furnace in fuel cost savings.

A-L-E-K
Latest SREF with their first jump with a mean up to 4.9"...decent number of 6"+ members tight cluster of 1.5" with round 1 (sounds right) 2-3" with round 2 a few members with a 3rd period of accumulating snow (being hinted at on many models now)
michsnowfreak
This just might end up as Detroit's snowiest month ever if this keeps up. Epic! Well..Detroit would need 9.2" to tie and 9.3" to set a new record for snowiest all-time month. However..with just a half inch to go, snowiest January on record goes down tonight! Baum
Snowiest month ever .... Has a nice $$$ ring to it!!! Sorry for OT. Chicago market bout out of salt, and contractors under seasonal contracts getting ready to bolt. Been getting plenty of calls to assume others work. If February goes snowy it will be real interesting.

hawkeye_wx
The Sunday clipper is looking eerily similar to the last good clipper. In both cases, all the models started out well northeast of me and then trended southwest. With the first one a couple models, like the RGEM, eventually put the best snow over me, but they were wrong as the heavy band ended up by Dubuque. Now a couple models, including the RGEM, have moved far enough sw to put the best snow over me again, but other models are still hanging a bit too far northeast. I suspect the end result will be similar to the last one.
