Violentweatherfan
It is just as dead there. Including tombo's multiple posts....enough with the phllywx. Go there when there is nothing going on it's worse than here.
Absolute Humidity
Tom only posts on his board now... http://www.phillywx.comThat board has a terrible interface. No wonder its deader than this place. Anyway. Nice improvement on EC IMHO compare to 12Z it more than doubles QPF for most all. Here's final snow map. With ratios of 13 - 15 to 1, 3 to 5 looks good. Absolute Humidity
03 SREFs just blew their load. Phy is 10.68" and HPN is 10.71" on the plumes mean. TTN about the same.

Fields27
Great, thanks. Would take that in a heartbeat without the ratios. Just enough to take the snowmobiles out. Still time for some more trending as well. For better or worse... Sent from my HTC ONE

Fields27
Keep in mind they do include ratios in their calculation of snowfall. Oh gotcha, I assumed that it didn't. Good to know. Fwiw it sounds like the 6z nam is coming in more amped than the 0z gfs via the NYC forum. Sent from my HTC ONE

famartin
BTW, note that its *really* going nuts on ratios, with 20:1 for the whole event at TTN. That's *extremely* rare.
Harbourton
So five of the members are showing 25 + inches for TTN?
famartin
So two of the members are showing 25 inches for TTN? More than 25", yes. Note that those two members are forecasting ratios more like 25:1. More than 2 feet of snow with ratios that high is damn near impossible in New Jersey. Harbourton
I'm assuming that the mean of over 10 inches is a more reasonable ratio.

famartin
I'm assuming that the mean of over 10 inches is a more reasonable ratio. No, even that is a generous 20:1 ratio. I don't buy it, but certainly what Mt. Holly put out in the watch is reasonable.
Birds~69
Did they just write new numbers over the old map? Not sure but he said "sorry about the glitch". It looks like it says "coating" under the 1- 3 area..
Birds~69
Overall I'd rather have 4-5" w/artic temps and gusty winds then 6-7" w/borderline temps and calm winds.
famartin
Overall I'd rather have 4-5" w/artic temps and gusty winds then 6-7" w/borderline temps and calm winds. I'm absolutely the opposite... snow is much prettier when it sticks to everything (scenario 2) than when it blows around (scenario 1).
Birds~69
I'm absolutely the opposite... snow is much prettier when it sticks to everything (scenario 2) than when it blows around (scenario 1). I like the fact it's going to stick around for a bit w/some drifting. Wet snow is cool because it sticks to trees etc but it's heavy to shovel and usually doesn't last as long.
