Typhoon Tip
Other than pettiness pointing by bullies ... by and large the NAM has been quite consistent across the last 5 cycles imo. It may have varied slightly in QPF but not significantly enough to really criticize.

Clinch Leatherwood
Heavy snow continues. Can definitely see cells of OE around and just off Sandwich as the main band lifts north. I think I'm about out of the back edge of this unless more develops as it all begins to tilt. Couple of inches already.

Clinch Leatherwood
This is impressive....for me it's now mainly lower level OE. The main band lifted north. There's nothing wrong with the camera, it's just snowing that hard.
HIPPYVALLEY
Looking at the regional radar, you can see the forward movement getting halted and shunted to the east. I'm thinking just a dusting is a distinct possibility up this way--even though my zfp still says 4-6. lol 7.7/-4 off w diurnal high that looks to be about 11* at 1:00p.m. (daily high of 13* was at midnight). I'm out and about and can't believe the difference in the sky. Dark and menacing to the south and east, Looks almost like it is brightening to the northwest. Probably not a good sign for us. Clinch Leatherwood
Models were fine, the progress north halted in the part of the band around the NY/CT border awhile ago....pivot is beginning west to east now and will align the bands gradually more NNE to SSW etc as the whole thing begins to slide out over the next few hours. Damage In Tolland
Models def missed how far n and w banding got. As Will said they missed it by a decent amount. This should continue most of the night as it moves North east

This should continue most of the night as it moves North east Again I disagree. They're within 10 or 15 miles at 9-12 hours...that's very good and well within the margin of error. You're acting like the band is over MPM. Euro and GFS had it up over your area and across into Boston. The only reason why it's not a major snow is the band keeps moving as we wait for the second bubble of low pressure/main show later tonight. I mentioned Will's rule yesterday....and he has multiple times. Normally the best band is right on the NW edge of the best lift. And it is this time too. I think the models pinned where the best lift and forcing was going to be this time. Give or take a few miles.
