TalcottWx
I already see it now. This storm will bring out the uber weenieism and jackpot fetishes that people have. I'm 100% guilty of the jackpot fetish.

ROOSTA
Don FTW (for the Weeniest) You know I'm the weenie of weenies...King Ween LOL That map is from SPC SREF SNOWFALL maps. Doctored a bit in the Southeast but basically kept intact. Whoa! I have a cousin down the Cape asking for amounts, critical decision (day-care) dependent on what I tell her. leesun
The latest RAP is really sweet at H5 at the end of the run. It's in lala land for the RAP but worth noting that it is really amped
jamesnichols1989
I think 15"+ is a good bet for some within the BOS to PVD corridor points south and east, someone is going to get 20"+.
Ginx snewx
Dude the numbers for the last 30 days don't lie. This wasn't what some of you were hinting with the endless winter talk back in December. Of course most of us never fully understood the Leon reference anyway. Aside of James I was probably the first to throw out the high totals for this event and we (you and me) talked about this being comparable to the "blizzard" in early January long before it was ever really mentioned. But I'm the downer because I doubt the NMM/ARW and GFS over the Euro which as Will backed up with his graphics...still tools those models most of the time. You saw my forecasts right? Also you do understand that the cold records broken set all across the country we're mostly from 1994, it was about a pattern. You have been bullish on this storm, good luck

mahk_webstah
Yeah looks good even for you. I think amounts from HFD-ORH and perhaps srn NH might be a little higher than some have. I could see some good banding there from 00z-06z or so. is this because the midlevel low (as Brian pointed out) is further north on the latest GFS? I've learned that mid level lows in good spots always make it snow up here.

Clinch Leatherwood
I think 15"+ is a good bet for some within the BOS to PVD corridor points south and east, someone is going to get 20"+. I'd ease on the 20" stuff down this way until we're certain it's not going further NW. If it does that'll alter the winds and we'll see some version of what we ran into last storm with the best enhancement being NW of here with the OE. You saw my forecasts right? Also you do understand that the cold records broken set all across the country we're mostly from 1994, it was about a pattern. You have been bullish on this storm, good luck Steve I think mainly you had me and probably others confused with the Leon stuff. Lots of ways that can be interpreted and a percentage of posters were either in diapers or watching Scooby Doo episodes after grade school. You've done well with your feelings on the winter, Fella too. I really hated this 10 day period. But if we come out of it with a huge dump of snow...then it's much more tolerable. 40/70 Benchmark
Bite me. Who's complaining? Will posts a map showing the Euro tooling the GFS in this range. Pretty much every event the GFS has been wildly overdone in raw coastal type situations...with the Euro being underdone until inside of 48 hours. Usually it's still a little underdone. I like this event, but I think the GFS is probably too widespread. Sorry that disagrees with you princess. No, I want the Euro to continue to come in a bit more amped. I wasn't busting on you.....I would hope the GFS is too amped to if I were you.

40/70 Benchmark
Even if he gets 12", the next town over gets 14", so he gets mad Get a clue and stop speaking out of turn. I received 13.5", and 2 towns over had 2'. Little difference?? That being said, I was thrilled with the event.
Zeus
My stance has been that this is all gravy considering what we were facing 24 hours ago. I think that's healthy! It's also true; yesterday evening I was thinking "well, it's getting closer, but certainly no cigar and there isn't much time left." Now it's like... cigar. And I don't even smoke! How awkward is that?
