I know a lot of us south of the Pike have not had as good snow as the others, retrogression to the mean will have to wait.

CoastalWx
I wonder if it's seeing the banding and having more of a widespread >0.5". That's such a wide areas of real estate it's covering.

SlantStickers Anonymous
That's quite a jump, perhaps a hint of what's to come at 0z. At this range I'd like to think they at least have a vague clue of what's going on.
dendrite
I wonder if it's seeing the banding and having more of a widespread >0.5". That's such a wide areas of real estate it's covering. Mean SLP bumped a little north to near the BM, but there's a lot more spread to the north.
Ginx snewx
Endless winter incoming with no breaks and more snow than even the ARW forecasts..... now I'm as optimistic as Ginxy and Kev.I maybe an optimist but also a realist and my forecasts bear that out, you could find a pimple on Kate Moss's arse and report she wasn't what everybody thinks. I'm thinking this is mostly what it is. Mean H7 RH is very similar to 15Z. It's probably just getting a better handle on the mesoscale processes. Dude the numbers for the last 30 days don't lie. This wasn't what some of you were hinting with the endless winter talk back in December. Of course most of us never fully understood the Leon reference anyway. Aside of James I was probably the first to throw out the high totals for this event and we (you and me) talked about this being comparable to the "blizzard" in early January long before it was ever really mentioned. But I'm the downer because I doubt the NMM/ARW and GFS over the Euro which as Will backed up with his graphics...still tools those models most of the time.
