CT Rain
GFS looks like it ticks east with best QPF. Not a big surprise.
jamesnichols1989
This storm is really blowing up by the model run, I would really like to see a stronger surface low on the models though to be confident we get 1"+ of QPF in the region. I honestly think models are underperforming with regards to the intensity of the rapid deepening or bombogenesis of the surface low.

We told you so. ovah and ovah and ovah, anyone of these can blow up in this pattern. Just wait though as the Carpenters once said, "We've only just begun" Lol I had my doubts, but I wasn't really hitting the doubt hard like some here. Could really be an awesome period coming up. Potential for another event with teens and colder whole snowing, just awesome. No other words

jamesnichols1989
Yeah Scott, we are finally getting one of these shortwaves to work in our favor, I think 1"+ of QPF is possible for CC and Islands.

jamesnichols1989
H5 vort max is trending stronger and stronger with each run, don't see why we can't get 1"+ of QPF with this system.

CT Rain
Qpf queens quivering in fear. Rest of us seeing monster banding and fronto staring in face No doubt a strong frontogenesis signature. The issue is just how far northwest the best lift will get. We're right on the fence. Once you get deeper in the fronto circulation there's going to be a really sweet band of high ratio ripping... guessing UUU to BOS?
