January 21-22 maybe January 24th potential very cold snow event. It's gonna snow dammit!

A potent Arctic wave coming down the flow among many short waves may amplify as it moves under New England and give a cold quick hitting snow event Thursday. Models are changing run to run but tonight's op models (haven't looked at euro yet...not out) are more robust vs earlier runs.

Thursday looks like it could be a snowy day and as of tonight it's snow or no for all of New England but obviously SE areas have what appears to be the best shot. Tolland, CT should see decent potential out of this one.

and just what road does that bus take?  the southern highway to cape cod, ma, the northern pass to dendrite-ville, or the middle road down the pike?

Maybe. Take the bird in the hand. Long range is always fraught with issues. But it looks ok. I didn't expect to have snow onthe ground today. I do. I think SE areas cash in Tuesday and a wider area 2 days later.
