CoastalWx
Ok well if we can talk about a day 8-10 torch, then this euro op has some shoveling/scraping SB Sunday morning.

Typhoon Tip
This D9 Euro perfectly describes what I posted, and you can see, a warm SE ridge signal doesn't often mean so much for the 40th parallel, when the EPO domain refuses to collapse... CoastalWx
What do you mean exactly, Scott? As much as we tell people not to sweat a day 8+ op run, people seem to want to discuss it when it shows a torch. So, why not talk about this run that does not show that. Lava Rock
what a waste of month january will turn out to be. doesn't look like any significant snow event through middle of next week. A whole 8" recorded for the month so far. Horrible. But, there's always feb right?

Yeah it pressed everything further south on overrunning potential...I suspect we'll see that shift quite a bit from run to run at this range. powderfreak
So is the consensus we are punting the rest of January for snow? lol we punted significant snows on January 6th...which may have been stupid but certainly worked out, haha.
40/70 Benchmark
No significant snow events in the foreseeable future, so I availed of the one day hiatus of the arctic assault to wash the car. Got the interior vacuumed, but the damn upholstery cleaner that I keep in the trunk was frozen Going to have to let it thaw out in doors, and tackle that tmw. 40/70 Benchmark
Dude it's pounding snow tonight and there's more coming Monday with the clipper /arctic front. What do you mean? Tonight A chance of snow showers, mainly before 9pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 8. Wind chill values as low as zero. South wind 11 to 17 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Monday A chance of snow showers, mainly between 8am and 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Southwest wind 9 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. Get the salt trucks, and the duck boats ready. I think my car's polish will persevere through the .5"/3 day rates...which I think well verify lighter.
