Damage In Tolland
Maybe it would be different is I were 10 years younger, but painful cold and a couple of inches of snow doesn't do much for me. One more several inch event and I'll be satisifed with the month. Move to Florida?
TalcottWx
I'd rather it be 50 if it isn't going to snow substantially. To your "what an outstanding winter", imo it has been a C/C+-grade winter overall, for NE. For a small part of the SNE region it's been very good, but that is meaningless to the big picture. Some people just see winter as only snow. That's fine.Just don't agree with the temp argument. It can't snow if it isn't cold period.
CoastalWx
The clipper on Monday looks like it might have a bit more low level moisture with it than this Saturday. So even if it tracks NW of us, we could see a nice burst of WAA snows. At least as modeled right now. Obviously small systems like that can change quickly at this time range. That's a real strong LLJ at 850. With the airmass so cold...even a track like that can drop a couple of inches or so to most. Maybe more.
mahk_webstah
The season as a whole has been good...not great, but good. The last near miss heralding in this better balst blows, though. No large threats on the horizion, either. I think this is wrong. The pattern suggests threats, the ensembles are hinting at them. Miller B early next week? And what do you think happens as the PV relaxes a bit? Very stormy pattern starts later next week.
codfishsnowman
Says the three stooges who have all just finished digging out from plowable snows.... Shocking. if i am not gonna see any meaningful snow then i agree, f this, bring back at least seasonable temps
TauntonBlizzard2013
I can see why people to the north and west are getting anxious. It's been cold, but pretty meh snowfall wise. Obviously there isn't going to many negative posts coming from south and east of boston and providence, as most people in that area are well above in snowfall and have had two double digit events already this winter. I feel it will all even out in the end, as we head into late February and March, we rain and north and west snows

40/70 Benchmark
You're alone . There's plenty of people, including probably a majority of the general public who agree with you. I dont enjoy my balls in my stomach as i start the car in the am either. im "worried" after this polar vortex winter i'll need to be operated on to bring them back into my sac. Wife wants kids, i might not deliver. I'd rather it be 50 if it isn't going to snow substantially. To your "what an outstanding winter", imo it has been a C/C+-grade winter overall, for NE. 40/70 Benchmark
Enjoy florida..and enjoy the elderly shuffleboard games Yes. I should move to Florida because this 2.5 week relative dearth of snow is aggravating me. Are you employing the same logic as when you urged folks to ignore the trend to cut back QPF to the nw Tuesday afternoon?

One more several inch event and I'll be satisifed with the month. Wait another ten years. That system end of month will materialize. We aren't going to go the next ten days without anything appreciable. GFS jumping around on the timing today IMO is the first step. BUT no guarantees that's anything different than another mid atlantic to SNE mauler. By April the pattern should be more favorable for you. PineHillsWx
I know that I'm not alone. You are certainly not alone. I love big storms not annoying 3 inch type deals where the plow driver is the one smiling and we don't need temps in the lower teens for a high to sustain the snow pack. Does anyone in here pay for their own heat? My god, my burner has barely had a break the last few days....

The actual meltdowns are constituted by complete failure to apply logic. It really wasn't just him, though...I mean, he doesn't have the met wherewith all to have even known to counter the qpf charts with the mid level response. He just sees pros says it, then vomits that out when the board starts to sweat a trend.
