I knew back in earlier January that the trough axis on the long range progs was no good for here. This is largely centered over Hudson Bay...which is actually not a bad pattern for snow...even in NNE. But a little -NAO would have helped to slow the flow down a bit. I know I'm not alone in the thinking that deep cold doesn't lead to good snows up here...I've heard Cold Front and Tamarack express similar sentiments.
