He said he had never heard the term Polar Vortex until this year. He's been doing the weather in Baltimore for 35 years During the last cold snap, Rush Limbaugh claimed that "Polar Vortex" was a term made up by right wing liberals and didn't really exist. He claimed that the global warming crowd was being proven wrong by all the cold weather, so they made up Polar Vortex to justify the cold weather as an anomaly. It was holding steady at 35.5 at my house when I left (McLean/Arl border); car (horribly inaccurate, but it is what is), reported 38 (up from 34) when I got into the office in the city.
