I'm pretty pumped for this storm! We're gonna get snow during the day where I can look out my window and actually enjoy watching it come down as opposed to looking into the street light to see how hard it's coming down, if at all. Plus, it will be cold enough that we won't have to worry about a change over to rain!

It's not a rumor.

He'll no doubt mention how the last 4 inch snowstorm was ages ago and remark how this amount of snow might seem insignificant to Boston or New York but this is DC and they just aren't used to it here....he is right but it will still make us angry

I'm gonna switch things up a bit and bring a home repair question in.....

On the unfinished side of my basement, I've got a few warped studs. I'd like to fix/replace them and I'm a diy'er, so what's the best/most safe way to do this without affecting the integrity of the wall?

I'm not sure what you mean. Studs on an exterior wall, or studs on an interior non-drywall wall? Either way, I doubt any studded wall in a basement is load bearing. You have at least one beam running perpendicular to the floor above joists, right?

I'm also assuming your basement walls are concrete or cinder block.
