Ouch :(

Yeah...it kinda hurts to miss out on what appears to be the best area-wide event we've had in three years. Might even turn out to be the best IMBY in that time, too.

Was hoping you could make it....might be safer to come early because of the cold don't you think?

I'm afraid of driving in the cold, but I'm more afraid of driving in the snow. Schools closed yet?

Mattie, maybe do the leave at 4 am thing to try and beat the worst of it back ?

If we didn't have a one-year-old in tow, we'd probably give it a whirl. I did the 4:00 departure on the way down (just me and the dog - wife and daughter were already here with the in-laws) and it worked great. But waking up our sleeping beast and hoping she goes to sleep again in the car seat is a dangerous proposition! Besides, I'd rather not deal with the possibility of getting slowed down once we get up there. It's already a nearly 9 hour drive. To extend it with a little one would be sheer insanity!

It's supposed to be 61 and sunny here the next two days. I'm OK with that...

thank you for posting this.  it makes it unbearable in the obs threads with the radar hallucinations.

I have to sit on my hands to stay away from the computer in the middle of a snowstorm. I can't stand the emotional roller coaster caused by radar ons, and if you really like snow you may as well enjoy it instead of staring at a radar loop all day long.

Now is the time in the storm thread that the mods need to ban Wes. We have seen the Cras, were NAM'd, and even Ellinwood is bullish. Watches are up. Wes's logic, insight, and knowledge can only be detrimental at this point. :snowman:

I was thinking that if this was a poker game, I'd take the small but appreciable stack of chips that I have won and cash out. It can't get any better than what it is being shown, right?

Yeah, I just enjoy the snow that is falling and not worry about what is or isn't coming.  Definitely makes storms more enjoyable.  That, and I hate to know when its going to stop.   :snowing:
