Stovepipe
I figured it would be nice to have a thread for this so we can look at snow while waiting for the next opportunity. I know several of you have taken some neat shots this season already. Feel free to re-post those here if you want or dig through the archives and share some old memories. I'll start us off with a couple. Here's one from January 2011. For me it was especially memorable due to it being the first real snow my oldest son got to enjoy. I remember us calling this one "The Big Dog" as we tracked it for a week or so. I ended up with 3 or 4 inches but I think others around the area did much better. Apologies to the Grateful Dead. And here's a clip of the Great West Town Mall Storm from earlier this month heh. Went in the mall to see Anchorman 2 with light snow starting. Came out to moderate snow and an inch plus on the roads (Kingston Pike in the video). A band set up right over west town for a good while. Had a dusting 10 miles away at my house. Uncle Nasty
All of my Chattanooga snow pics from the snow we have had AFTER January 10th, 2011. Notice the people lining up on Lookout Mtn getting ready to cliff dive?

John1122
Cove Lake from earlier this evening with Braden Mountain in the background. It's been frozen over for 2 weeks. I'd never try it, but you could probably walk across it.

John1122
She's a trooper, it was tough sledding conditions when you combine frigid temps and dry snow. Back in my day, when it was this cold, we'd pack the snow down and then pour water down the sled paths and let it freeze. Managed some big time speed.
