Awesome, I'll be up there in a few hours. Pretty pumped. Looks like a little refresher tomorrow of a few inches and then cold winter day on Sunday with potential snow showers around...but perhaps some sun at times as well to open up the great views.

Snow depth there must be in the 45-50" range at the base.

Yeah, seeing as we had less to begin the month with and they have gotten hit hard, too... I just hit 40" at the base of Stowe for the first time today with last night's snow.  So 45-50" there sounds about right.

I’ve added the latest advisories and projected accumulations maps from the BTV NWS for this next storm.  Winter Weather Advisories are now in place, with accumulations generally increasing as one heads northward:

Our point forecast down here in the Winooski Valley seems to be in the 2-4” range in line with the map, and bumps up as you head northward into the mountains.

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BURLINGTON VT

732 AM EDT SAT MAR 22 2014

.SYNOPSIS...

A QUICK MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRING SEVERAL INCHES OF

SNOWFALL TO THE NORTH COUNTRY TODAY...BEFORE DEPARTING EASTWARD

THIS AFTERNOON. SNOWFALL TOTALS OF UP TO 6 INCHES ARE EXPECTED

ALONG THE CANADIAN BORDER. SOME LINGERING SNOW SHOWERS WILL

CONTINUE MAINLY OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN TONIGHT.

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 8 PM THIS EVENING/...

AS OF 722 AM EDT SATURDAY...SNOW HAS REACHED ST LAWRENCE COUNTY

INTO THE ADKS AND PORTIONS OF NRN NY WITH HEAVY SNOW BEING

REPORTED AT TIMES. THE SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD NORTH AND

EAST...WITH DRIER AIR AT THE SFC CAUSING A DELAY IN SNOWFALL

REACHING THE GROUND ON LEADING AREAS OF RADAR REFLECTIVITY.

HAVE SLOWED PROGRESSION OF POPS EWD SLIGHTLY AND UPDATED HEADLINE

TO ADJUST TIMING. OTHERWISE WINDS ALOFT BEGINNING TO PICK UP OVER

NRN NY...CREATING GUSTS UPSTREAM OF 20-30KTS WHICH WILL AID IN

WAA AND ENHANCEMENT OF SNOWFALL THIS MORNING.

PREVIOUS DISCUSSION...RADAR REFLECTIVITY DEPICTING SNOW ON OUR

WRN DOORSTEP THIS MORNING. SNOW WILL SPREAD NORTH AND

EAST...REACHING THE CPV SHORTLY AFTER SUNRISE. BEST ISENTROPIC

LIFT EXPECTED IN THE SLV AND ALONG THE INTERNATIONAL

BORDER...WITH MODELS SHOWING A WELL DEFINE AREA OF LLVL

DEFORMATION JUST NORTH OF THE BORDER THIS MORNING AS THE SFC LOW

TRACKS FROM THE ERN GREAT LAKES...ALONG THE CANADIAN BORDER.

STRONG LLVL JET OF 45-60KTS AT 925MB WILL FEED WAA THIS MORNING.

THIS JET WILL QUICKLY JUMP TO THE EAST BY 18Z...MEANING MAJORITY

OF FA WILL BE SOUTH OF BEST LIFT...SO EXPECT SNOWFALL RATES UP TO

AN INCH PER HOUR TO REMAIN OVER NRN TIER OF COUNTIES AND

CONCENTRATED IN THE MORNING HOURS. THIS WILL REDUCE VSBYS TO LESS

THAN 1SM AT TIMES...WITH HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.

EXPECT THIS TO BE A MAINLY SNOW EVENT...BUT SOME BRIEF WARMING IN

THE SLV COULD SEE SLGT MIX...HOWEVER EVAPORATIVE COOLING IN THE

HEAVIER PRECIP WILL KEEP THINGS MOSTLY SNOW. IN THE BL...TEMPS IN

THE CHAMPLAIN AND CT VALLEYS MAY MEAN A BRIEF MIX WITH RAIN MID-

DAY. SNOWFALL TOTALS AT THE END OF THE DAY CAN EXPECT 4-6 INCHES

IN THE SLV...WITH GENERAL 3-5 INCHES NEAR THE INTERNATIONAL

BORDER FROM FRANKLIN COUNTY NY EASTWARD ACROSS NORTHERN VERMONT.

AREAS SOUTH WILL GRADUALLY TAPER DOWN FROM 2-4 INCHES IN ADKS AND

GREENS...TO A DUSTING TO ONE INCH IN THE SRN CPV AND CT VALLEY.

nice,what town?

I believe that he's in Waterbury Center, a few miles south of PF and a few miles north of JSpin. Snow came in here like a wall, looked out an there were a flew flakes flying around and then a few minutes later, near white out. Backed off some now but still falling at a moderate rate.
