wxeyeNH
Im glad you guys in Vt are cashing in, you were so worried the past couple of days. Radar shows I am under the most intense band of the storm but still vis 1 mile in snow grains and very light snow. Snow growth is so poor. Perhaps Im snowing at 1/4" per hour. 4 1/2" still

ctsnowstorm628
The physics still work out even though its been a frustrating winter in parts of NNE. You get a nice vortmax curling up into NY State with the associated ML fronto and it was easy pickens for good banding up there. Happens almost every single time. This is intense. Approaching 2"/hr and its just going to pivot through NNE. Many may approach 10".
Allenson
At work so not sure how much has fallen at home since I left but we're getting hammered here in Hanover and webcams show the same for up at the house. Deform, for the win.
eyewall
6.5" here now but the rates are slackening. I would say we end up with around 7 and change before this ends.

powderfreak
6-8" on the mountain but to be honest the 6" is low, it's around 7-8" fairly uniform after a quick 2-3" since 2pm with that band. I think we may have hit warning in town but won't know for sure till later when I get home.
tamarack
Left AUG at 2 with visibility about a mile in S-, and halfway home ran fairly abruptly into S+ with the view dropping to 1/4 mile or less. Had 4" new when I got home at 3, probably 5" now with moderate snow the past 45 minutes. Much better ratio (I'd estimate 14:1) than the snow grains at the start. Should get another 1-2" here but I think the GYX forecast of 4-8" is safe. My cumulative avg snowfall thru Feb 5 is 46.7", and I'm within a few tenths of landing right on it. Snow Bow
It's very meh so far. The best part of the storm was the first 3hrs. Yeah, I was up just before 5 when it started here and it came in fast, would not call it wall of white, lol, but it went from nothing to steady moderate snow within minutes and we had around 5 inches by 10AM or so. so 3.25" in the next 7 hours. Maybe the stuff in NYS will do a little better than just under half inch an hour rates.
ctsnowstorm628
7.8" here as of 5pm. Will take my final official measurement at 11pm. Moderate snow and 22F
powderfreak
Man still ripping at 1/2sm and 1" in the past hour. We are up near 7" I think...this has over-produced and warning criteria finally met. I feel like popping a bottle tonight for the first warning storm of the season. ono
At Stowe today, noticed the flakes went from graupel-cored dendrites (very odd stuff) to dendrites, to finer stuff-. Bands just came in with different consistencies throughout the day. Some trails were boot-to-knee deep in spots. Definitely turned on around lunch, waned a bit, then back on a couple hours later. It was dumping, then starting puking for a while. It looks like we have over 6.5" (conservatively- could be more like 7"+ but I don't have a ruler unpacked yet at the new digs) here with moderate snow in Waterbury Center. Radar shows snow decreasing in areal coverage, but still probably some snow left to be had. We'll see where the night goes.
hvysnow79
Happy and surprised to come home to 11.5" as of 5pm.

I took a pic of them. It was shortly after that the monster band hit.

powderfreak
Man it was so nice to finally get something more than 6"....it finally looks like winter out there, and the depth is like 12-14" for the first time this season. Haven't had a double digit snow depth until right now. Looks awesome out with snow stacked up on mailboxes, signs, trees, etc. Maybe the universe doesn't completely hate us anymore haha.
