tamarack
Looks like somethign between 2" and 3" here in AUG, snow a little lighter and still tiny flakes. State offices here closed at noon, so time to head home now that the traffic has calmed down.
eyewall
We are seeing some wind now, which will complicate measurements. Heavier returns incoming.
eyewall
Wow getting absolutely pounded here. Vis estimate would be just under 1/4 mile at times. I wouldn't call it 1/8th just yet but none the less dendrites stacking quickly.
powderfreak
Nice looking radar for the BTV area right now... we are just SE of it right now. As of 2:15pm, its 4.2" here at Stowe Village. As of 1:30-2:00pm it was exactly 5" at both 3,000ft and 1,500ft.
ApacheTrout
It's snowing pretty nicely right now in Orwell. Inch an hour. 5 inches on the ground.
CardinalWinds
4.15" here as of 2:30pm. This looks like more, probably because of my jaded eyes so far this winter...lol. Weekend storm looks like it won't materialize as of now, but the 12z Euro says look to the 14th-15th and it has quite a dump of cold air at the end of the run. powderfreak
Holy crap it really picked up. This is pure fluff at like 1/4sm or less.
wxeyeNH
Very meh so far. Very light snow continues vis 2-3 miles. Alittle over 4". Skies have been very bright and vis has been over 1 mile most of the time. Seems like I am hitting every break in radar. Still some good stuff SW. We will see. Kids could have had school today in this area.
ctsnowstorm628
Holy crap it really picked up. This is pure fluff at like 1/4sm or less. That's the deform band we've been tracking the past week, lol. 1-2"/hour rates will really help boost totals around the region.
powderfreak
This is close to 2/hr I think...I was at 4.2" like a half hour ago and now it's just over 5". Pure fluff.

CardinalWinds
Best snow of the day falling right now. Best snow of the season falling right now. I was hoping to get the driveway done before dark, but it looks like it'll be tomorrow. I knew I should have bought a blower with a headlight!...lol

The physics still work out even though its been a frustrating winter in parts of NNE. You get a nice vortmax curling up into NY State with the associated ML fronto and it was easy pickens for good banding up there. Happens almost every single time.
