Late January - Early February Pattern Discussion

I recall a lot of dire doom and gloom in late December too... just sayin

Course, back then, there were roughly 8 weeks of chances left. If we miss the next three chances and end up a warm rainer next week, we will be down to about 3 weeks of decent chances left. Maybe. I don't get as into March snow as some do. So, "dire doom and gloom" makes a little more sense as February draws near...

I guess the new trend is that all threads are banter threads. The "Winter is Over" lost it luster years ago. Barely funny then, just dumb dumb stuff now. Ok, you are frustrated and naturally pessimistic and depressed. Go vent that somewhere else.

It was actually never funny

IMO this is far west as you're going to see it mainly because the baja energy isn't phasing and we're too late in the game for the models to show it.

Icez has weighed in.. prep the snowblowers

I could see the models come further west with the precip shield.  I mean 100 miles in one run isn't insignificant....Likely no dice, but it isn't like I have anything else going this week.  I am still going to look at the models.

This... pretty much nothing for most of us anyway for the rest of the week, guess we can hope for some kind of hail mary
