famartin
Here's the list... again like PHL, I used 2-days (calendar days) as the cut-off, so for any storms which extended further may not be represented properly. I can add them though. Also note that before June 1958, measurements were done in downtown Altantic City instead of the airport, and I used unofficial numbers for some storms from 1996 to 2000. 1884-1885 13.5 2/14-15/1885 1885-1886 10.8 2/3-4/1886 1886-1887 8.4 12/5/1886 1887-1888 7 3/12/1888 1888-1889 7.9 3/20-21/1889 1889-1890 1890-1891 1891-1892 1892-1893 8.4 1/5-6/1893 1893-1894 6.2 2/25-26/1894 1894-1895 1895-1896 1896-1897 12.1 1/27-28/1897 1897-1898 1898-1899 14 11/26-27/1898 6.8 2/5-6/1899 14.1 2/12-13/1899 1899-1900 10.7 2/17-18/1900 1900-1901 13 12/21/1900 1901-1902 6.9 1/29-30/1902 18 2/17/1902 1902-1903 6.5 1/24-25/1903 1903-1904 6.7 1/29-30/1904 1904-1905 9 12/10/1904 16 1/25/1905 1905-1906 1906-1907 1907-1908 8 1/23-24/1908 1908-1909 1909-1910 1910-1911 1911-1912 1912-1913 1913-1914 12.6 3/1-2/1914 1914-1915 6 4/3-4/1915 1915-1916 1916-1917 1917-1918 6.6 1/22/1918 9.3 1/27-28/1918 1918-1919 1919-1920 1920-1921 1921-1922 8.5 1/28-29/1922 7 2/15-16/1922 1922-1923 1923-1924 7.4 2/18-19/1924 1924-1925 1925-1926 1926-1927 1927-1928 10 1/28-29/1928 1928-1929 6.3 2/20-21/1929 1929-1930 1930-1931 1931-1932 1932-1933 8.2 12/17-18/1932 1933-1934 7 2/20/1934 8.1 2/25-26/1934 6.8 3/10-11/1934 1934-1935 1935-1936 7.9 12/29-30/1935 1936-1937 1937-1938 1938-1939 1939-1940 9 1/24/1940 1940-1941 16.2 2/28-3/1/1941 1941-1942 1942-1943 1943-1944 1944-1945 1945-1946 6.8 12/18-19/1945 1946-1947 1947-1948 6.5 12/26/1947 1948-1949 1949-1950 1950-1951 1951-1952 7.7 3/1/1952 1952-1953 1953-1954 7.9 1/22-23/1954 1954-1955 1955-1956 9.8 3/18-19/1956 1956-1957 1957-1958 11.3 1/7/1958 9 2/1/1958 1958-1959 1959-1960 9.6 3/3-4/1960 1960-1961 7.5 12/11-12/1960 10.7 1/19-20/1961 1961-1962 6.4 1/1-2/1962 1962-1963 1963-1964 6 12/23/1963 14.7 1/13-14/1964 1964-1965 1965-1966 7.5 1/26-27/1966 6.8 1/29-30/1966 1966-1967 6.6 12/24-25/1966 8.3 2/6-7/1967 13.1 2/9-10/1967 10.7 2/17-18/1967 1967-1968 7.8 11/30/1967 1968-1969 11.6 3/1-2/1969 6 3/7/1969 1969-1970 1970-1971 1971-1972 1972-1973 1973-1974 8.3 2/8/1974 1974-1975 1975-1976 1976-1977 1977-1978 12.6 2/6-7/1978 1978-1979 8.3 1/6/1979 17.1 2/18-19/1979 1979-1980 1980-1981 1981-1982 1982-1983 6.7 12/12/1982 11.8 2/11/1983 1983-1984 1984-1985 1985-1986 1986-1987 16.3 1/25-26/1987 6.6 2/22-23/1987 1987-1988 6.7 1/7-8/1988 1988-1989 12.3 2/24/1989 1989-1990 6 11/22-23/1989 1990-1991 1991-1992 1992-1993 1993-1994 1994-1995 1995-1996 14.6* 1/7-8/1996* 10.8* 2/2-3/1996* 6.5* 2/16-17/1996*1996-1997 1997-1998 1998-1999 1999-2000 9.9* 1/25-26/2000* 2000-2001 7 12/30/2000 8 2/22/2001 2001-2002 2002-2003 7.2 2/6-7/2003 20 2/16-17/2003 2003-2004 2004-2005 2005-2006 2006-2007 2007-2008 2008-2009 6.8 3/1-2/2009 2009-2010 12.1 12/19-20/2009 7.7 1/30-31/2010 18.2 2/5-6/2010 7.1 2/9-10/2010 7.7 2/25-26/20102010-2011 20 12/26-27/2010 8 1/7-8/2011 2011-2012 2012-2013 2013-2014 6.5 1/2-3/2014 7.9 1/28-29/2014 * = Unofficial

uncle W
I remember February 1967 when ACY got over 30" of snowfall...The 9-10th and 17-18th storms were small in NYC compared to acy...I remember hearing about it and seeing the cloud bank just to our east...it was an amazing month... chubbs
Interesting that acy had 5 6+" storms in 95/96 and 09/10 but phl has never had more than 3 in a winter.

Does give support to the idea that it could happen in Philly. Already 2 this winter so who knows, maybe this year?

Redmorninglight
Added the rest of this winter's. Thanks for your diligent work Ray. Figured I'd bump this thread since 1986-87 is being tossed around a bit. I believe it was a good snow year for the southern areas of our sub forum. I was living up north then. I also noticed you have ACY reporting 7.7" on 1/31/10 from that southern slider, but no record in your archive pages. Is there insufficient data? We got almost 10" of powder that day in Cap May and it was the start of an amazing 11+ day stretch to say the least. Only time I recall snow on top of snow on top of snow down here. Regarding the 1/31/2010 storm, as you are probably aware, my archive focuses on central NJ, which received just a coating from that system. That disqualified it from entry. I'd pull my hair out if I did a page for every coating
Redmorninglight
Understood. Just thought it might round out that epic year with a January entry. Lol.
famartin
Understood. Just thought it might round out that epic year with a January entry. Lol. It would... but 0.2" of snow just doesn't cut it for me

Redmorninglight
That Feb 1899 storm was Cape May's shining moment. I think it set the state record for most single storm snow. Close to 36" if I recall. It was like the 1993 superstorm with a better track and colder air mass. 1993 was mostly rain here.
