ORH_wxman
RGEM is a 495 punisher too...this could end up being a pretty sneaky high impact from ORH hills over to Ray's area.
CT Rain
RGEM is a 495 punisher too...this could end up being a pretty sneaky high impact from ORH hills over to Ray's area. Beginning to have that look. I'm shocked at how cold the GFS has trended. From a solid rain sounding to a solid snow sounding at BDL from the 12z run to the 00z run. Very impressive trend. jamesnichols1989
850mb temps are all below freezing throughout the event and region, so if we get enough dynamical cooling to take place I think we can get snow even for here, now 925mb temps may have a say in the overall outcome of the event down here, and SErly surface low cuts off sooner as the better precip arrives as the eastern most surface low takes off. Tip mentioned this earlier....the timing is such that we are being allowed to radiate, then the clouds rush in around dawn...."cold capping", he called it.
